You are Good Enough

Image
Why Us Girls Don't Think We Are Good Enough   Wouldn't we all like to know the truth to why girls think they are not good enough...? Guys, media, fitness, people, and so much more. It is beyond sad to see where this world has come. The message I want to come across to you girls is you are good enough! Whether it is for a job, a guy, the media, or what ever else is running through your head, do not let someone else define who you are. Do not let social media or someone else make you feel that you are a waste. I know this is a lot easier said then done, trust me. I have been in this position more times then I can count. Just keep telling yourself, " you are enough ."  ~   One of the main reasons girls don't feel like they are good enough, is because of guys. So many girls rely on a guy to make them happy, or to give them the confidence booster they need. (I personally have struggled with this...

To the Coach's that made me the Coach I am today

Image
Dear coaches,  My words cannot describe all the inspiration you have given me, both in the sports arena and off. You were incredible role models. You held my team and me to the highest standards and now I carry that  mentality forward with the girls I mentor. Looking back, I am beyond  grateful to realize how much of an impact you all had on me.        You all have taught me so much on the court but also helped me learn about myself, such as what areas I excel at, and what areas I  need extra help with. The moments you taught me to be strong and use  my head have helped me in many situations. You have shown me how to  carry myself through situations I could have acted very immaturely  in. But most of all, you have taught me to trust and believe in  myself. You all pushed me to better my skills. Either in basketball,  volleyball or horse-back...

Reading: do people still do that?

Image
I hate reading....     🤷🏼‍♀️            Happy Friday everyone!! Who else loved the three-day work week? Sadly, the 24 hour flu  going around caught me off guard this week! I loved catching up on sleep, but the symptoms were  not fun at all.             How many of you have said, "I hate reading" a time or two? I know that I have said this  numerous times. I could never sit still long enough to get lost in a book. Recently, I started getting  into motivational books that have really grasped my wondering attention. These books include real  life advice, cookbooks, motivational authors, fitness, and of course christian books. We all have our  topics or authors that grasp our attention. I wanted to share just a few of the books I have added to my  VERY small book collection.  1.  Jess Sincero; Looking for a pair of books t...

Happy New Year everyone! First of all, I would like to thank all of you for reading my content so far. 2019 is going to be the  best year yet, I can feel it! Travel, beauty and spontaneity will  be coming your way this year!              I personally think that everyone can get annoyed with the  phrase "new year new me." As well as the question, "what are your  New Years resolutions?" We all know that some of us don't follow  through with them. There is nothing wrong with wanting to better  ourselves or to reach new goals. We all should want to improve where we are in order to reach our goals . Ending on that note,  here are mine!  1. No procrastinating     This just might have been my middle name in 2018! I thought some  tasks were not as easy as I thought , so I waited ti...

The Christmas Season TO-DO List

Image
First off, the more and more I start writing or thinking about the Holidays I am full of smiles! Who else sometimes feels that they are just OVER THE TOP with the holidays? Secondly, I am currently listening to Pandora's "Holly Jolly Christmas Radio" at work, yes, I am writing this blog at work how dare me! (Took that top picture at work too! Love the hands free timer!)  Lastly, I am a huge list writer. It may be as simple as the To-Do's for the day, packing or groceries. I wanted to share my 2018 Holiday Season To-Do List. I hope you all try at least one of these! Egg nog Cocktail (over the age of 21 of course). This is my first holiday season that I can legally drink a southern comfort egg nog cocktail!  Write a letter to Santa ; ALWAYS a kid at heart and who cares where it ends up!  Winter Olympics ; Take time to give a winter sport a try. That being ice skating, skiing, snowboarding, toboggan racing or even just sledding....

Introduction to me Katie

Image
Here I am sitting in-front of my laptop writing my very first blog! The  thought's rushing through my head  are all over the place; "What should I write about, no one looks at blogs anymore (who cares), think anyone  is interested in what I have to write about, and gosh I hated writing in school".           The real reason I wanted to start getting into the blog world. I truly wanted to work on reaching out to  others that have had the same struggles that I have. Growing up as an only child (which was amazing don't get  me wrong), having two major surgeries at a young age that took away my childhood dream, my relationship  with God that at one point was at the end of my fingertips, my beauty and fashion tips which are very minimal  lets be honest and what 2018 has given to me!     -Lets skip right to business.. Here's some things you migh...
